Hello, when I try to start up the public beta version of the game it pops up with "4x foundation has encountered a problem" and then doesn't start up.

Hello. The error message shows that the game is trying to use your integrated Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics and failing to find it. As you haven't given any system or game state details (eg DxDiag or system details if Linux, game modded state, etc) we don't know what graphics devices or Vulkan drivers you have but the game should more usually be set to use a discrete graphics card (often AMD or Nvidia) with more than 4GB of fast VRAM that supports latest Vulkan versions.
