The Argons

The history of the Argon civilization began when the human worlds were cut off from Earth. This happened after the collapse of interstellar travel and communication, and because of the rise of autonomous Terraformer systems. During this time, the colonies were completely isolated. Without contact to Earth, each colony had to develop on its own, creating its own political systems, technologies, and even biological differences.
The early phase of Argon history is marked by this isolation. After losing contact with Earth, the remaining human colonies grew under very different conditions. A key turning point was the conflict with the machines that came from the Terraformer program, later known as the Xenon. These wars caused heavy losses and forced the colonies to change how they were organized. Survival required coordination, strong defense, and advanced technology. Over time, this led to the rise of more centralized systems in the surviving core regions.
During this process, the region around Argon Prime became the center of the new Argon identity. Population gathered there, technology became more standardized, and political systems began to form. The Argon Federation was not created as a planned state, but as a natural result of cooperation between surviving systems. It stabilized existing networks and created a shared structure.
An important factor in this era was the uneven exposure of many colonies to the so called Terraformer Syndrome. This condition was caused by contact with Terraformer and Xenon environments. It led to temporary physical changes, especially in the shape of the head and face. These changes were not passed on in a stable way and usually disappeared in later generations. Still, it is believed that this period changed the genetic structure of the population in a deeper way.
Later, the Argons entered a phase of expansion and reorganization. They settled new systems and returned to abandoned ones. Trade and security networks grew stronger. This period helped to stabilize the Federation and build a shared Argon identity across many worlds.
In more recent history, differences within Argon society have become more visible. One example is the appearance of the so called High Argons. They show unusual hair and eye colors. These traits are believed to come from hidden genetic variation that existed since the early days after the separation from Earth. Their appearance is recent and should be seen as the result of a long and complex development, not as a sudden change.
In summary, the history of the Argons is a long process of change. It began with human expansion, followed by isolation and crisis, and later led to a stable federation. War, adaptation, and cooperation shaped their path. The High Argons are not a separate event, but a late result of this long evolution.

The culture of the Argons is closely linked to their history as isolated human colonies. After losing contact with Earth, they had to build a new identity. This identity was shaped by constant threats, especially from the Xenon.
In the early days, survival was more important than tradition. Each colony developed its own ways, depending on its environment. This led to strong cultural differences at first. Over time, trade and cooperation connected these colonies again. This reduced the differences and created a shared culture.
Argon culture is strongly influenced by technology and economy. Progress, science, and stability are seen as the foundation of society. Old traditions or religious systems play a smaller role. Instead, culture is practical and focused on survival and growth.
The political system of the Argon Federation supports this. Local regions have some freedom, but there are common rules for trade, security, and science. This creates a balance between diversity and unity.
The High Argons are also part of this cultural development. Their unusual appearance is seen in different ways. Scientists explain it as natural variation. Others see it as a sign of a more advanced form of Argon. These ideas exist side by side, without a fixed hierarchy.
The history of the Terraformer Syndrome also plays a role in culture. Even if it is a biological effect, it has become a symbol of change and adaptation. It reminds the Argons of their past and their ability to survive.
Overall, Argon culture is flexible and adaptive. It is not based on fixed traditions, but on constant change. Differences within the species are accepted as part of a shared identity.

Biologically, the Argons are still very close to humans. They come from the same origin, but developed under different conditions after being cut off from Earth. Over time, they were exposed to uneven environmental stress and radiation, especially because of the Terraformers and later the Xenon.
In general, their bodies are still human. However, there are some differences. One example is their vision. Unlike Terrans, who see in red, green, and blue, Argons see in red, yellow, and blue. This likely comes from adaptation to different light conditions on their worlds.
The Terraformer Syndrome is an important part of their biological history. It caused temporary physical changes, especially in the head and face. These changes were not stable and disappeared in later generations. This suggests that the effect was not directly inherited, but still left a hidden impact on the genetic system.
Because of this, the Argon gene pool became more flexible. Different colonies experienced different levels of exposure. This created variation across the population. In isolated colonies, some of these variations became stable over time.
This led to the appearance of the High Argons. They show strong differences in hair (e.g. blue, green) and eye color (e.g. purple, violett). These traits are not signs of disease, but stable expressions of earlier genetic variation. They are still fully Argon and not a separate species.
The time since separation from Earth is relatively short, about 800 to 900 years. This is not enough for major evolutionary changes, but it is enough for noticeable variation in small populations, especially under stress and selective reproduction.
In conclusion, Argon biology is shaped by past stress, mutation, and isolation. The High Argons are part of this process. They represent a new but still developing path within the same species.
