Whether or not your game is modified using any third party scripts or mods (see note below).
- Modified (3 mods), but also started save without third party mods --> Same behavior
The game start you originally selected for the game in which the problem occurred.
- Open universe
Exact nature of the problem, where and when it occurs and what you were doing at the time.
- Within 5 minutes of starting the save game (350+ hours) the game freezes, no crash.
- This is reproducible, happens every time now.
- No error messages.
- Screen still shows a frozen version of the game.
- GPU Utilization goes to Idle
- GPU Temperature was +/- 70C before freezes, drops to 50 after freeze.
- System Memory: X4 still takes about 8 to 9 GB during freeze.
Any possibly relevant changes you have made to your game, system, or software before the issue occurred.
- None. Ran fine hours before this happened.

- On 12-04-2026, activated the "Personalized Crash Report" option.
- Ran the game on 12-04-2026 from 13:15 (UTC+2) until freeze happened.

- Ran X4 Foundations without mods
- All settings to "Default"
- Factory reset and re-installed AMD GPU driver version 26.3.1

Nothing jumps out as a problem from the DxDiag. Your Windows Error reports are mainly crashpad_log with Edge which I don't think relevant or KERNELBASE.dll with SDFSSvc.exe which is the exe from SpyBot Search and Destroy, a constantly running spyware and adware avoidance app. It might be worth temporarily disabling that as a test and seeing if it helps at all in your game.
The only other thing I can think of would be some sort of asset corruption in the save; if you can load an earlier save and play on past the time and circumstances that fail with the current save then it may be that.
