[#3887] Autopilot through Superhighway catapults ship at high speed
Additional information to [#3887] viewtopic.php?p=5277303, still happening in Version 8.00 (590967): it's not entering the superhighway under autopilot that causes it, it's exiting. I was flying manually and accidentally activated autopilot just before exiting a superhighway: my Discoverer Vanguard was catapulted into the Unknown. Since then I have entered superhighway under autopilot several times and deactivated it in transit, and have still exited normally. Recovery in the Discoverer is harder than before: I have to bounce backwards and forwards through a superhighway gate multiple times until the ship slows sufficiently to trigger the gate (usually under 300 km/s). So far I have only had it using autopilot, not with an NPC pilot following orders. But i do like to fly my own ship, and NPCs keep going back to their previous command. It's still a frustrating bug because I can't set my ship on autopilot for a journey and manage other things. I hope you manage to trace it: probably some weird timing issue on lower-spec systems.

Happened few times on Steamdeck last week, but not on desktop, so feels like it could be related to lower specs like OP said.

I experienced that with the Erlking hitting a Phoenix. On a PC.

Version: 9.00 Beta 1 (599566) release notes say: "Fixed autopilot exiting Superhighways at very high speed."
