I've been away from X4 for a few years. And with all the changes, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Mainly since I'm running Version 8 and some mods will work, some mod won't, and there is no clear way to distinguish which is which, unless, of course, they were recently updated.
Anyway, to the point. It used to be that I could easily order my ships to join a squad and assign them duties. For example, I just got a builder and tried to assign a cargo ship to work as a supplier for it. I somehow managed to get it assigned to the builder, but I can not assign it to trade for it. It can only be told to follow, or attack with or some other combat related commands. It used to be really simple to assign a cargo ship to supply my builder. But now, my cargo ship just sits there, while I'm reliant upon NPC cargo ships to supply my builder. Things used to make sense. If the way things made sense was due to a mod, why haven't the developers implemented such logic into the game itself? Especially since modders don't stick around forever to support their mods.
So, what am I missing? Other than a good memory.
What happened to the fleet commands?

I recommend to check the mods for updates. It will also help if you could provide a list of the mods you are using. Finally, you could run a vanilla game and check if those problems are still present. However, bare in mind that it is not sufficient to disable mods as they tend to leave traces in the saved games.

Re: What happened to the fleet commands?
Hmmm... Not sure what happened. I installed a bunch more mods and now I have the option to trade. I don't know what happened. Most all of the mods where adding ships.
It kinda figures though. Almost every time a post something like this, I find the answer usually a few minutes afterwards. I may not have found the answer, but it seems to be working now.... somehow.
Thanks for your suggestions though.

But now you don't need to assign ships to builder ship. Simple assign them to builder storage on station.cailic7137 wrote: ↑Sun, 1.
