[#4843] End of Terrorism mission bugged - cannot dock on the ship

I am doing the split vendetta questline, and I am at the part where I have gathered 400M credits and now it sends me to dock on a ship to talk with this guy. But I am unable to dock there (I am in S ship), it keeps saying docking denied, and the reputation of ship is -10. I tried grinding ZYA rep up to -9 neutral, where they let me dock on their stations, but this one ship is still -10 (even though it says it is ZYA ship) and still doesnt let me dock, so I am locked out of progressing with this mission!

Without it the chances of us being able to help you are drastically reduced. Make sure you include a link to a savegame so that we can actually see the situation in your game rather than trying to guess what's happened.

Exact nature of the problem, where and when it occurs and what you were doing at the time. cannot dock at Fau tNnt ship in end of terrorism questline, it says docking denied, even though the ship is -10 reputation which should allow docking, and ZYA reputation itself is at -8 (ship got separate rep for some reason)
Any possibly relevant changes you have made to your game, system, or software before the issue occurred. no changes at all, I had clean install of the game prior to starting this playthrough

Ok, a workaround presented itself.
I was doing other stuff for some days, occassionally checking this NPC, and now he suddenly was in other region and another ship, which didnt have bugged reputation, so he allowed me to dock.
Good to have it out of my hair, because I was getting worried, since ZYA are getting gradually wiped by Xenon in this playthrough, and I wanted to finish this for the achievement.

Ah, it might not be bugged then given that scenario.

It's not just faction to faction reputation that matters, but also faction hostility towards a particular ship. If your ship has previously been used in something considered a crime by that faction whether against themselves or against factions considered friendly or neutral in that faction's territory (eg smuggling, attacks, boarding, friendly fire incidents, or even repeated collisions when IS) then a faction can see the ship as hostile and treat it accordingly. This is regardless of a better faction rep towards the player and note that factions can have quite long memories in this respect.

You can sometimes see friendly/neutral faction patrols and police show as red to you, but only when in a particular ship. Sometimes (quite rarely) you can capture a ship and find it's old history against a faction can come back to haunt you respite just being its new owner and personally friends with the faction.

That original ship wasnt red (hostile), though, so it is still weird. The only thing that comes to my mind that might have messed with the reputation is, that in previous mission, while destroying the rebels Raptor, I have used mines, so maybe there was some friendly fire, but then again, this NPC wasnt part of that battle. Regardless, I am happy it eventually resolved itself (I guess the original ship of this NPC was destroyed, as the Split space is getting heavily taken over by Xenon), and at least this thread will serve as a hint for some other people who may perhaps encounter similar problem in the future.

Thank you for the report and the save. The rendezvous ship being hostile will be fixed in a future build.
