Laser Tower

Post by beast_regards »

This game frustrates me so much ...

However, I must now...

Is it possible to duplicate Laser Tower? (via exploit in 1.3, not via mod chear engine)

Specifically, Laser Tower. Fine, they disabled the Stock Exchange, they made all equipment unavailable, they made it impossible to access all equipment as you couldn't be friendly with everyone... FINE...

... but endless waves of Xenon invasions EVERYWHERE is far too much.

Only way to deal with this seems to be filling the sectors with lasertowers, but since they could be assembled only 1 per hour assuming you have a complex dedicated to them, you would never need enough. I would need 50 per hour...

So, could I somehow duplicate Lasertowers? Forget duplicating warers for selling, forget duplicating jump beacons as they are inaccessible, I want infinite lasertowers!

That about building your own fabric? You can upgrade it for XL size if you like, so it produced 10 lasers per 1.30h.

I don't have access to XL kits. I think those go from Paranids.

Stealing the blueprints seems straight away impossible, never succeeded in that, and flipping the relations seem even harder (or rather counterproductive)

I have only default sized factory paired with M powerplant and foodstuff needing only crystal imported. It's every cost efficient considering it is not closed loop, but it doesn't spit lasertowers fast enough. It doesn't make sense to need that many lasertowers in the first place, but there doesn't seem to be any other viable way to fight the Xenon waves that lasertowers.

Stealing blueprint is possible. Only restriction if you have -100% and less negative bonus, you just never had enough reputation.
Many try's, but possible. XL complect not only from Paranid. For my game
Argon have L , S ,
Boron - L , M,
Earth - L, S, XL
Paranid - X, XL
Tellady - M, XL
Laser towers fabrics can produce Argon, Paranid and Tellady.

If you friendly with OTAS - they have a XL complect too.
No matter, you need S, M,L complect to get an XL fabric. S make 2x, M - 5x (!), L-10x, XL-20x, XXL - 40x. so it's not so bad to stop at M and build as many fabric as you can place.

only bad point - if you playing with everybody enemy, in this case you can't get an Agent's...

I think only races with Lasertower factories are Paranids and Argon.

I got mine from Argon, but just a default small one.

M kit seems very rare. I was only able to buy M kit from pirates. I only applied M kit to one 200MJ shield fab (I should have gotten one for Lasertower too, but I don't want to disassemble lasertower complex again)

Could I use M kit on the factory that is already on the complex? I don't even need to upgrade the complex input wise then.

Yes! Just jump TL with kit here (it's works without player to! ) press a kit in cargo and chose "modify". Your fabric must be produced enough circles awhile it can be upgraded. S can be upgraded after 1 circle... You can see it in united stations list. There is no reason to disassemble a station from complex, except you like to repair a station with yours drones.

And yes :( I missed a Tellady with Split. Laser towers can produce Argon, Paranid and Split

I just tried it and nope...

The M sized upgrade kit couldn't be applied to the default Lasertower Factory.

The S Station Update kit could be applied to default Lasertower factory, but it does nothing and subsequently M (or even L) kits couldn't be applied.

The M kit could be applied to the other M factory (like Ranch) but it duplicates the factory within the complex.

I thought the M kits could be applied through station construction service but no, the option only eats money and results in default S sized stations.

I tried this with Pirate Sidearm Fab, Shield Fab, Lasertower Fab, Ranch and so on, but so far no joy.

After you applying upgrade kit - your station upgraded for some hours. Next it start usual production circle and after some circles it can be upgraded next level. Al operations longs for for some game hours. You can see status of your station on list of connected station then select it and look at "info". If you see at last line something like L - ready - you can apply L upgrade kit here, and so on.

You cannot apply a factory upgrade unless the target factory meets the requirements. You have to apply an M sized upgrade to an M sized factory, and on up. XL for an XL sized factory that shows ready for next upgrade. When you look at the info screen for a factory it should show you what it's size is and whether or not its run enough cycles to be eligible.

When you access the TL cargo to apply a factory upgrade, it should show all available factories in sector eligible for that upgrade, including those part of complexes.
