Newb question on Building a Storage Container

Hi folks,

I have been searching and searching on how to do this and I'm just going round in circles.

I need to build a Storage Container for my base. I have hired a construction ship that's been waiting there for days.

I need Energy Cells which I have on my main ship docked at the station. But I can't seem to work out how to supply these cells to the base or construction ship.

I still need Computronic Substrate and Silicon Carbide.

But I'm hoping to work that out after. I think I just need more funds for a trading vessel? Not really sure yet.

Could someone give me some pointers? What menu I'm looking for etc?

The construction materials need to be delivered to the build storage next to the station (not the station itself).

Look for a small half-hexagon structure floating just next to the station. For some reason they have weird targetting if you try to do it manually you need to get really close to target it and it doesn't show up on the map reliably.

Easiest way is to give an AI pilot instruction by right-clicking station on the map and selecting "Trade with Commander's Build Storage" option.

I couldn't see the small half-hexagon structure. So that's in main view not map?

I'm building the Terran S container and this is on that first Player Base you get.

But I got up and let the pilot take over and did what you suggested and it worked.

oh wow, that's so useful.

It's funny, after getting myself started I played quite happily for 40 hours, then did the rest of the tutorials and find I've only scratched the surface.
