Trying to find a puzzle piece set.

Post by matthewfarmery »

I'm trying to remember a puzzle piece game which I got in the 90's. It had different shapes, one a diamond shape which had two longer sides then the other two, It had a right sided triangle. A equal sided triangle. A small rectangle? The pieces were plastic and red coloured. all the pieces fitted in a plastic box making up a large rectangle. It also included a puzzle book which included shapes which you can make with the pieces. Some shapes had multiple solutions, some only had one solution. The size of it was approx 15cm / 20cm across and 10 + width

Does anyone remember this puzzle? or had one? or know the name of it, or where it could be brought if still made? I tried looking for it, but not successful. I would love to get hold of something like this again. Perhaps this place isn't the best place to ask? but I'm not sure who else or inquire? This was in the UK. It's possible, such sets could have been in other countries. But does anyone remember this?

Thanks advance

If you search for "tangram", does that look like what you mean?

That is a good start, somewhat close to what I remember, but not exact. Ddidn't know the name of the puzzles. But certainly a lot of types.

Thanks

Funnily enough, I'm old enough to remember Tangram (and more recently Tetris) every time I have to pack a suitcase for a trip.

Well, I will postpone my looking for the Tangram. There is another puzzle game I have my eye on, from Spear Games, classic squares. I had one as a kid. But I lost a piece in a car. I was pretty devastated. Even though My dad took some of the seats out to find the piece. We never did. Been looking for this pocket puzzle game for a long time. Made an offer to the seller. Hopefully, they will accept.
