Hey all,
I've run into a bug. I had a ship bail, so it had no pilot. I went to Claim it (Salvage Claim Software - I'm running the "guilds" mod) and it didn't work. This happens sometimes where a ship bails, but the order it was running at the time fails to clear. So, while is shows "no pilot" the SCS thinks it's still piloted. To work-around this issue - it happens from time to time - I have a little script that assigns the selected ship to my faction. This usually clears the order and all is well. However, just now, the same thing happened yet the ship is still running the order, despite my taking ownership.
The ship is evidently on some sort of plotted route, flying through subsequent gates and accelerators. However, even manually piloting the ship won't clear the order, it keeps running it, even with me in the pilot's seat.
I recall having this issue many years ago - likely in X3AP TC or R - and I ran a small script to clear the order. I cannot recall how I did that... at all! I've scanned through various ship orders, but cannot find what I'm looking for. Can anyone help? I really want this ship!
Cheers.
Edit: I managed to fix it, not using a script. Even though piloting the ship myself didn't stop the command running, I was able to perform a manual jump. Doing so cleared the stuck order upon arriving at the gate. I'd previously allowed the ship to fly me though a gate (stuck order controlling that behaviour) but a simple sector transition didn't work. Manual jump to the same sector however did. At least I know the first thing to try next time this happens.

Re: Help required: Script command to clear ship orders?
Orders are always cleared when a pilot ejects or when a player takes control of a ship.
What most likely is happening is that the command is heing reaumed on the ship, either by anothee task on the ship, or by an outside source thats trying to control the shop
