How to patch a GOG X3 War Pack?

I picked up X3 War Pack on GOG, doing manual install and there patch installers too. There are following patches 3.5 to 3.6, 3.6 to 3.7, 3.7 to 3.7a, 3.7a to 3,8. Do I need to go through every patch or the last one will do?

Do them all sequentially in ascending order and don't leave any version gaps. The patches may affect some stuff changed in earlier patches, but the final patch is not all-encompassing (GOG would likely only supply that one if it were). The assumption is that the GOG base game is version 3.5 and ready for the first of those supplied patches.
