I posted this on the subreddit, but I figured I'd go ahead and ask here as well.
So, I'm absolutely loving the game so far. I've only played around 30 hours or so. I've heard stories about how one's CPU (mainly) dictates the limitations one will encounter. I'm using a laptop with the following specs:
3070ti
16 GB
Ryzen 9 6900hx
My primary concern is whether the CPU will be enough to handle a reasonable amount of playtime.
Is a Ryzen 9 6900hx (laptop) CPU enough for long term play?

Not experienced with the competencies of Laptop CPUs, but if you've played 30 hours already and you haven't noticed any significant drops in performance in specific circumstances already then it's likely you will be fine for the vast majority of the time for the rest of your playthrough.
The most common causes of performance drops are large battles (100+ ships) and/or being in the vicinity of mega-stations that you've built. You could have 10,000 ships out of sector (or "Low attention"), but that shouldn't affect your performance in sector until you're in render range of them all (or in what we call "high attention"). That amount of ships however would significantly slow down how quickly your map updates though as that's how X4 handles the increase of load for what happens in the background.

Thank you! I typically stay between 70-100 FPS on mostly ultra settings. However, I noticed certain fps drops around NPC stations containing 15-20 ships.PersonyPerson wrote: ↑Thu, 28.
