To set the stage for this question I recognize a difference between the Hyperion and the Trinity. The Hyperion is the newly manufactured base ship and the Trinity is the one I get at the end of the plot that has all the purple mods. I rename that one to Trinity so I don't mix them up. They are the same ship actually but I play them as one is old and the other is new. Kind of like the mass produced Raven and the prototype are actually the same ship just in the story they are different.
So how about the Hydra Regal? Is it a different ship or is it just a Hydra with mods? If it is a separate unique ship, how do you replace it if you ever lose it? What are the actual differences? Anything visual in the models?

Re: Hydra Regal question
It is a different 3d model, not a modified Hydra.
It can not be replaced.

Re: Hydra Regal question
Statistically it's a unique hull Hydra with very very slightly better manoeuvrability. Unless it has a special mod synergy there is nothing irreplaceable about it except for the hull design.
