Seems to have been fixed in the meantime, at least temporarily? At least I haven't had any SQL errors so far. Thanks to those responsible for possibly working overtime

We do have a solution in place, but we may need to do some further tweaking in order to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Re: Forum issues - MYSQL Error - Seems fixed now.
That's unfortunate, but there's not much we can currently do about it without the wider problem returning. As I said, we are still looking at longer term solutions, which will hopefully also include avoiding creating access problems for a small number of forum users.

I got the problem today, for the first time. Not a big issue, not even annoying, just happened a few times.

Is it irony that we try to read/write to [this] Forum thread that we cannot access the Forum [threads]?
Reminds me of the time when the IT department did info everybody about email server being down ... with emails.
For the record, I've seen some hiccups today.

Yes, we're aware that there was a brief recurrence today. And it's likely to happen again occasionally until the longer term solution I referred to earlier is in place.

That more permanent solution is now in place. If you blink you might miss it.

For a second I thought the forum was taken over by a malware or I clicked on some strange link accidentially. I guess this has something to do with whatever happened in this thread?
It looks like you guys put some cloud flare stuff in place, whatever this has to do with SQL.

When it happened I thought there was some kind of subliminal advert (like the creators of Betty Boop injecting a frame or two of her being naughty).

Re: Forum issues - MYSQL Error - Seems fixed now.
FYI, if I try to access the forum using the address "forum.egosoft.de" as I always did, I get caught in an endless loop of a a blue screen saying "You are entering Terran space Please halt while we scan your cargo hold" and a green screen saying "Access granted! Cleared for passage", switching back and forth about once a second.
I never actually get to continue on to the forum.
"forum.egosoft.com" does not have this issue.
And yes, my first reaction also was "Oh shit, I caught some ransomware!". Thanks for that, I didn't need a heart rate below 130 anyhow.

I've had to bypass the VPN to get here now, even on the iPhone?
