Is protectyon computronium?

I'm asking because in X encyclopedia, with great interest I found description of cylindrical vessel, just like the one from Leap of Faith.

And after reading related section it seems if I correctly understood what this is, it could be leaking that. Computronium.

If I understand encyclopedia correctly, that cylinder, "Eye of Beholder", is a Keeper. One that that's overseeing over galactic province and contains computronium. It is damaged and it is leaking something. That something could be computronium.

However, computronium is effectively its BRAIN, and twins are using it to keep shields in avarice running. Which suddenly makes the scene metal.

The other thing is... after 7.50 Borons opened few gates using "small amounts" of computronium they got somewhere with great difficulty. However, one unit of Protectyon is 10 cubic meters, a whole cistern of stuff. Astrid holds 400 units of it. And if that's Computronium... while borons are hunting for trace amounts of it who knows there, then Avarice is burning it for the shields one cistern at a time.

Which makes situation ... interesting.

Egosoft should make a story part or an expedition of the Boron after leap of faith.
There will be a few more DLCs coming anyway.
Damn, I would like to rename the protectyon now but a *modified* prevents me from doing so...
