Removed from: What are you watching now ? Movies and TV

I pointed out what the problem is with Skeleton Crew, and that problem is that they cannot think outside the box, where the box is America itself. Everything they do has to look like America, feel like America, act like America and that's because all they know is America, so they think everywhere is like America, they cannot imagine it any other way. So all of their Star Wars renditions are all based on American views and values, and they all suck, so of course all of their stories suck as they have no imagination behind them.

@ felter: You are entitled to your opinions but we can do without the broad-brush insults to a nation and its people.

Wasn't meant so much as an insult, but the truth hurts.

Admitting that something you wrote was at least in part intended as an insult and then doubling down that your opinion concerning an entire nation is the only truth is not acceptable for open debates on this forum. That comment about American views and values 'all sucking' added nothing to the core discussion anyway, so please resubmit without such comments (if you wish) and desist in making such sweeping comments in future.
