Where was it questioned, here? Don't listen to them :D it would be great to have such a tool. New missions will prolong the life of this game.
What I would also love is a tool to visually add zones and regions in the map. Considering that my XRSGE mod has sectors as big as 500.000 km with areas in different parts of the sector, it would allow me and players to add content to the huge sectors:)

I think there is already a Tool for sector/Region editing.
It looks really nice.

That's a shame. A mission editor would be really handy. I'm not much of a coder so any tool that can help expedite the process would be useful to me. Thanks for the reply.

Consider this some feedback. Mission creator would be awesome and would open up creative modding for so many people. Modding improves games and this would allow new storylines to be created, which would be such a boon for this game.

A Mission Editor would be one of the biggest enhancements to the modding community.

Right now it's an enormous pain in the arse to create anything remotely interesting and it would over time allow people with creative ideas but less technical expertise to release some very interesting content.

Just bear in mind this isn't a huge community and the amount of people creating mods for the game is quite limited. You won't see an overwhelming response to new tools as it takes a while for the few dozen people who would use this to start making use of it.

the problem was in fact :
u cant save your changes .....
that was already the end of the mod. why people should use something if they cannot use it after all ? if u cant save changes u made to test it yourself. why bother doing it ?

I’d kill for a tool like this. The UI is clean, and a functional mission editor in the same style would be a dream compared to editing scripts manually. Fingers crossed that you’ll pick up development again one day.
