[#3655] Possible Bug: Map is laggy when using a gamepad

Issue began after installing 7.50. It did not exist in 7.1 and prior.
There are no error messages associated with this bug.

When using the mouse and keyboard to play the game there is no noticeable issue. However, when using a PS5 controller as a gamepad, either with steam input on or off; there is significant lag when using the right thumb stick to move the mouse cursor on the map. The speed of the motion for the cursor is very slow for an a time too long but then suddenly it speeds up and the cursor shoots across the screen. This makes it very difficult to use the right thumb stick to move the mouse around and I end up relying on the touchpad on the PS5 controller.

I noticed that in the controls menu the map control are now said to be emulated. I don't know if this is connected to the issue but I noticed it.

I can not test if this issue also happens on the GOG version as the 7.50 installer from GOG still does not launch to the splashscreen and instead freezes.

The controller issue is not really a bug I think. Since update 7.5 the mouse cursor has an extremely slow wind up time (acceleration) when using a gamepad. It makes menu and map navigation almost impossible with gamepad. I can confirm that this is affecting the Windows and Linux versions on Steam as well as the Windows and Linux versions on GOG.

I can provide a save but I don't think that would matter. Please just install the game and then try to play with a PS5 controller without touching the mouse. The joystick reacts laggy as seen in the video provided by the previous poster.
