Terran Covert ops misson/EMP Bomb

Part of this mission requires me to attach an EMP bomb at a marked location. Try as I will the bomb will not attach to anything it just floats around in space. I've tried reloading to an earlier save and going again but nothing seems to work. Any help please.

get a few meters away from the target, larger flat areas are best, then click right mouse button to chuck the bomb, then click center mouse button to detonate, obviously make sure ur chucking emp bombs

how did u get on blowing up the asteroid in kingdom end dlc?

That’s what I’ve been doing but the bomb won’t attach, or I assume it’s not attached because I am not getting the next message from Dal, presumably telling me to detonate.

Finally managed it after trying about a dozen times, don't know what I did differently (if I did) but it worked. Thanks for the info.

The bomb flies to whatever spot you click on, so it’s intended to be pretty simple.

Trigger button on controllers and keyboards does "throw" bomb just like any gun. One does not "click a spot" with trigger.
Yes, with "mouse fire" you have more control.

Note, that if you go back into your ship and trigger the bomb from the pilot seat, you will not be blamed for the detonation.
