I'm pulling this topic, as I am not comfortable with what I have found out about AI image generation scraping other peoples work

I had a private message sent to me as a heads up, so just made a change to my original claim that there are no copyright issue .. I still dont think there are, but you never know once legal beagles get sniffing something.

Edit : As far as I know, there are no copyright issues, as its AI generated. But I have heard its a bit of a contentious topic as the AI from what I understand scrapes images from newspapers and other online images to mash together the resulting image .. somehow. So the resulting image is not a direct copy of someone elses work, as far as I can find out every part of the resulting image is changed in some way from the base material used. So I cant imagine there being any copyright problems.
But if I am honest, to me its digital voodoo, so if you have any reservations about using AI in this way, you do you and dont participate.

When I first looked into using AI image creation for these logos, I imagined it used some kind of Intelligent creative algorythms and made the images entirely by itself .. hmmm, it seems the word "Intelligence" is probably a bit overused. Anyway, no doubt in future all the bones of contention will be ironed out, and maybe some of the AI creativity sites will offer better solutions which have no potential to affect someone earning a living ... But just to be clear, I still dont know if the site I linked Craiyon is negatively impacting any artists in real life in any way.

You can absolutely breach copyright with AI generated images. AI usually rehashes thing it already saw, meaning, for example, it can generate master chief, warhammer marines, marvel characters, and generic dude you generated will be look alike of a hollywood star. An you won't have a permission to use them. So, with any output you'd have to check personally if it breaches something or not. Usually completely abstract images are safe, but that's not guaranteed either.

So if the legal beagles get to stop the linked CrAIyon site from operating .. then we will know.

I honestly wouldn't know where to start or what to look for in the logos already made that vaguely matches .. something .. out there.
