The Valhalla is cooking something

Post by fireanddream »

The Valhalla has several unique behaviors.

One it sends fighters after me without being provoked like a carrier running carrier command. All other carriers like the RRF M1s would have their fighters out in formation, but won't actually engage until the mothership itself is damaged.

Two it prints fighters. An infinite amount of ATF Thor straight from its docks quite quickly.

Three it sends all the fighters to a lot of Terran sectors, to do what I'm not sure. Probably to scout or put down jump beacons. I stole all its single-use jump beacons very early in the game while I was still friendly, and now it is stranded in Asteroid Belt.

Four the carrier/navi/trade 1 software on the ship cannot be fried off. Probably to all the above can go through.

Anyone has noticed?

It's probably cooking spiced honey or some other weird terran alcoholic concoction. Maybe its making Saki. (Given the naming schemes used for ships.)

Double check those software to see if they are built in. Those can't be cooked off. Given its role, its not surprising the Thor's respawn that way, and go do weird things. The RRS have a similar function. Look at the home based ships and you will see many of the trading ships that roam as homebased to them.

I've never seen the Valhalla actually leave the sector I find it in. So that's interesting with the Beacons.

So yea them Terrans are a weird bunch. Best not to trust them. I hear they have this weird simulation game they use to train there pilots with. It simulates there world fairly closely. :D

The RRF carriers actually abduct fighters. When the M1s jump they kinda just grab every fighter in vicinity and jump with them, otherwise the RRF M1 won't be able to keep their fighters for more than 20mins. The unfortunate side effect is of course they are taking a lot of traders on the ride.

So in other words, its like.... Conscript recruit, we see that you have previous experience with combat. We have decided to award you the rank of Sargent. Now get on board this carrier and get ready to be target fodder for us. We dont care if your Arrow is not armed. It belongs to us now.
