I'm one of the people who struggle to remember this ship at all. Been a very long time since I played X3. Building xenon ships was much more memorable event.

The Hyperion was a nice Paranid design, but I always found it a little overrated in looks. The real crime is the beautiful (ugly) rust buckets that the Teladi had. They suited the Teladi lore soooo much better than the newer designs.

Yeah, I'm still sad that my Albatross didn't make it safe'n sound into X4. Or that the Kea was lost. Or the Phoenix isn't a flying space station anymore. Or the Hawk is gone as the whole frigate class was trashed. Or....

Yeah, the Teladi phallic mushroom designs are interesting. A female Teladi fantasy design? Who knows? I also can't help but think of the capitals and EvE Online since they're derivatives of the Avatar aesthetic.

Consider the shape of the Phoenix in X:Rebirth - definitely boob shaped.

In other words, the ship is worth anything only if it is "free"? Then one has to ask whether the rest of the DLC is worth the price of the DLC? If it is, then the "worthless" ship is a "free" bonus.

There was a ship, introduced by X3R 2.0, that I never saw as worth anything ...

It's probably worth mentioning that the DLC won't only provide us with the ship, but also with a new gamestart (as the captain of the Hyperion), as well as a storyline revolving around getting the ship with any non-Hyperion gamestart.

Given that questlines have to be made, stuff has to be written, lines have to be voiced, this is way bigger than just a small giveaway.

It absolutely deserves to be paid content, not least because that money flows right back into development of the game and any future content.

I wish the DLC included more than just one ship.
Considering other DLCs other than Timeline, you typically receive a wide variety of ships. For example, in Cradle of Humanity, for $15, you get 3 XL ships, 5 L ships, 6 M ships, and 9 S ships.
I appreciate the direction of selling ships, but I believe the pricing could be more reasonable.

As per roadmap it is a mini DLC. So not a typical X4 DLC. The exact content wasn't announced yet.

thats not what i said. but there is something called christmass and people usually expect presents, if i need to buy it (And i will) it will NOT be a present , is it clear now?
