The RHA end is the CUB end, where you help the CUB establish themselves and not create the ZYA superstate for clarification.
Mine had some significant issues. For starters, apparently the Split Equipment Dock in Family Zhin is now Argon... And the local defense stations turned into FRF ones and because the EQ dock is now Argon, even the Argon started building defense stations locally despite not actually being connected to Argon space. Both Tharka's Cascade is now in my hands though if that matters, I'm not sure if factions leap frog, I'm friendly with Argon, +30 or something. And oh right, Family Zhin is now owned by no one, it's a mess.
Next, Wretched Skies to the west of Family Zhin is now under FRF control too, which is... annoying too. Hard to get the RHA to fight the Boron with 3!!! sectors in between since they are apparently at peace with Argons now so...
Incidentally the ZYA previously took out the Xenon sector to the North, which means that the RHA are now pretty much dead. No one to fight and all that.
So how did your RHA end play out? I expected originally reading walkthroughs that the ZYA would just rebrand to RHA and FRF to CUB. Except I now have random pockets of FRF all over the place and whatever the **** is going on in Family Zhin.
Second question, how should I resolve this cluster****? Should I just go blow up all these random defense stations, EQ docks and that previously ZYA currently FRF wharf over in Wretched Skies and pray that the RHA reclaims their territory?
Third question, RHA is still at shoot on sight with the Boron right? No point helping RHA rebuild their territory if they just go back to not doing anything.
How did your RHA end to the Split plotline playout?

Like this. Essentially, first the Xenon trimmed them down to a single sector (Rhak's Dominion IV), then the Borons rolled in to finish the job. Since I'm playing as a Boron I am of course absolutely delighted with this outcome.
They are still around, but appear to have completely given up on Rhak's Dominion & instead keep trying to reestablish themselves (with FRF support) in Tharka's Ravine XXIV. However other factions in the sector (ARG & CUB) really don't like them & keep blowing up their stuff. They do not own any ships.

Well, I've actually tried to keep them in status quo for as long as possible, blew up a couple SPL defense platforms in XEN space and even nicked their Raptor, too bad nothing I did actually kept the Xenon alive and that pocket was extinguished.
Honestly I'm more interested in if my experience is typical, that is the entire thing just went to shit. Painful to do so much and then the plot just fragments everything.

Similar experience here. I had to use lots of tricks and patience to have RHA reclaim some sectors to participate in heretic end war

What did you do? Just "liberate" the sectors and wait?rudi_pioneer wrote: ↑Sun, 29. Dec 24, 17:42 Similar experience here. I had to use lots of tricks and patience to have RHA reclaim some sectors to participate in heretic end war
I'm just wondering about faction expansion logic. Like Family Zhin is a mess and currently unowned but there are ARG def station and EQ dock and FRF def station, will need to wipe them all out. Can't remember who owns Family Nhuut. The 2 sectors west are FRF. Tharka's is now under my control.
Tbh FRF also seems to be at war with the Boron so I'm not too worried, but they aren't fighting with the Argon, but then again, neither are the RHA so...
But coming back to it, do I just liberate all the sectors on the way to Heretic's End and wait for the RHA to expand or what? Are they going to more actively fight the Boron? Heretic is currently under my control, but I'm not attached to it. Boron own the sector on their side and the top is FRF now because of course FRF does some land grab during the plot, somehow.

If sector has RHA admin module or shipyard, I’d snipe or destroy ARG and FRF admin modules. When RHA is established, I’d do same in adjacent sector so RHA can expand there. It was long and tedious process, and I hope diplomacy addition in 2025 will have better way of doing this

Re: How did your RHA end to the Split plotline playout?
I'm new to this forum and only recently really started to get my teeth into the game but I saw this post and thought perhaps my experience with trying to save ZYA would probably apply to RHA too (just with less enemies to worry about and probably more sectors to have to influence them to claim back).
Basically ZYA as we all know are screwed unless the players does something.
Through a lot of effort I have managed to keep them alive in all their starting sectors and they're now starting to challenge Argon in Eleventh Hour.
Essentially what I did to support them in chronological orders was:
1) Get two destroyers on each of the Xenon gates into their territory. Jump between them in Moreya whenever Ks or Is turned up to "de-fang" them. This was where all my initial cash went, eventually inceasing to four destroyers per gate. Gate camps were Hatikvah's Choice I (I protected the Argons too), Family Zhin, Family Kritt and Zyarth's Dominion I.
2) I built three very cheap and basic stations called "Split Charity Appeal" (tehe), "Xenon Division" in Zhin, "Boron Division" in Wretched Skies V Family Phi, and "Argon Division" in Zyarth's Dominion IV. These station have one production module for all first stage resource processing, a L mineral and gas miner plus two large freighters assigned. They make a few million and hour but most importantly they were to inject basic resources into their economy while their mining sectors recovered from the now subdued Xenon attacks.
3) I used Shuyakus to cap Argon Behemoths to buy them additional breathing room to recover. Probably capped about 15-20 in total before I could leave them to deal with them on their own. I also kept running around blowing up the build storages for any Argon defense (or other) stations they tried to put down in ZYA sectors. Around this time I also set up S/M ship production on HQ in Heretic's End, selling to anyone except Argon (once ZYA have taken Eleventh Hour and Guiding Star I will let them buy ships).
4) I then "comandeered" a Terran Intervention Corps Asgard (it was just going to get itself blown up anyway), cleared the Xenon out of Rhy's Defiance, claimed it for myself with a scrapyard (imaginatively called The Scrapyard) and let ZYA take Matrix #598 after clearing that too.
5) At this point I consolidated all my destroyers to the two remaing gates and cleared Tharka's Cascade XV with the Asgard, consolidated again on the one gate and claimed the sector with a totally over-engineered defense station I call "Snowflake" (it's Boron and looks like a giant snowflake facing the Xenon gate).
Current Status: I seem to have managed to save ZYA and now they are starting to put pressure on Boron and Argon but they shouldn't be able to claim anything but Eleventh Hour and Guiding Star sectors as my own sectors or Teladi seperate them from their enemies.
Xenon are now bottled up in two locations: Tharka's Cascade XVII > Savage Spur II & Frontier Edge > Faulty Logic VII. Terran/Ant is covering Getsu Fune just fine and Hop seem to be doing fine too having taken Faulty Logic I quite early. There is also a Xenon Shipyard in Matrix #9 but that can't produce anything and the Teladi seem happy to just keep it there as a museum piece. All other Xenon sectors were cleared out by the AI factions very quickly.
A note on the Split is that (and I don't know if other factions are similar) but they make some really, really bad decisions. I had to babysit them for about a week IRL with lots of pausing and save scumming. They also do really badly in OOS combat so just turning up to their fights can make a big difference.
It also doesn't help that despite being allied and at 29 rep with them, they seem intent on putting most of their Rattlesnakes on their borders with me instead of those borders they have with enemies! Idiots.
They also are really slow to claim a new sector. It took them hours to finally claim Matrix #598 all the while I was capping Behemoths rampaging through their territory because they didn't have enough ships to set up gate camps.
I have gone the opposite way with the plot but I haven't triggered the conclusion yet as I have no confidence in ZYA to hold their own until they have kicked Argon out of the north. So currently I'm now waiting for them to do that before I proceed further.
TLDR you need to babysit Split for days at a time if you want any hope of them being successful. The sooner you start the easier it will be.
