[INFO] Forum style update

Hello,
as a little side project I've been looking into refreshing the style of the forum a bit so it's a bit more modern. It also offers the option to switch to a light mode for people who prefer that.
The light mode can be toggled by clicking on the lightbulb icon next to the notifications bell in the top right. To go back to dark mode, click on the moon that replaces the light bulb.

Since taste is very subjective, we will not force to you make any changes. If you're happy with the classic style you don't need to do anything.

We will however make it the new default for guest users (users that are not logged into an account) and you will also be able to change your settings however you want.
You find the option to change in the User Control Panel under Board Preferences
The options are:

1. egosoft - the old default style
2. egosoft_v2 - similar to the new wiki
3. egosoft_v2_darker - similar to old style reddit with extra high contrast

Interesting, can you reduce empty/black bars on mobile version?

on pixel 4a I have some that take space, that was used by the original template

Edit: Should be better now but might require clearing cached css files.

The User CP looks a lot better in Egosoft V2 aswell.

Edit : Reading the huuuge Beta Patch notes is much better with V2.

I had an issue with the forum not taking the full width of the screen, seems fixed now. I like the darker version, so switched over.

I do have one suggestion, the not read but new post icons, (speech bubble with orange outline. Maybe, make the icon full orange, (dark version of the theme) So it stands out better. and keep read forum topics icon the same as before.

Hi, I just want to point out there is a small loss of fearure between old and new style.

In old style, when you browse forum topics, those topics that have new, unread posts have been marked by not only icon to the left of topic, but also bold font.

However, in new style, it looks like there is only an icon to the left, while bold/unbold font is missing (all topics seems to display in bold).


Edit: Oh wait, sorry, it looks like somehow everything was in my imagination, both old and new doesn't change the font - my mind must playing tricks on me, due to general color changes
