It is with great regret that we at the Galactic News Network (GNN) must report the complete destruction of Light Water, Light Water beta, and all Boron found within the 2 sectors. According to reports, the Kha'ak attacks began much the same as the one that claimed Presidents End. The relentless attacks currently continue as this renewed threat seems to be spreading throughout the Lucky Planets region, and even into Paranid territory. The last reports put hundreds of Kha'ak clusters appearing all over the region including Preacher's Refuge.
Before sources could get out with additional confirmations, or bring us an update, it appears the gate between Lucky Planets and Rolk's Legacy has apparently shut down. And a blockade of Kha'ak ships have taken up inside the sector Preachers Refuge. Nobody is able to get in or out. Paranid officials have stated they are attempting to reclaim the sector with a fleet standing fast in Trinity Sanctum. It is uncertain how successful they will be.
Also on the news, Depth's of Silence has apparently gone silent. It was discovered that a hidden gate existed in what is now dubbed Depth's of Silence beta. A boron explorer last transmitted the words, there here, there here. I, I..... and then silence. And that is what happened to the whole sector as well. No communications have been received since.
In another unrelated story, Beryl Research has developed a new bug they call replicators. These AI infused nano-bugs are said to be capable of constructing a great many things including ships and factories. I wonder if they can be used to fix the star gate problem plaguing us all.
On the lighter side of news, Split, have decided that cats are the new delicacy. Especially with a side of catnip. The Teladi are delighted by this, and intend to profit from it having developed a new Catnip Farm.
