Just bought on Steam's sale to nostalgise.
X3 - horrible UI as for first glance, but mb I'm dumb.
Decided to start from the begining. And instantly stumbled into problem..... I can't sell 1MW shield to buy SETA and basic trading "capital https://ibb.co/wRvK4L8
So is there any "beginers guide"?
P.S. Tried to post photo of mine "original disc-copy", but i'm apparantly doing smth wrong. Nevertheless forum gives me vibes of 2006+- ;)

Beginning as in Xbtf? IIRC, the ships in Xbtf do not have hull, only shield. Hence shield down -- no shield -- is death. Sell would thus be a "no". Swap (to bigger) is the only path.

The Captain of the Teladi Company Phoenix did give a loan. One has to start with that. The ship cannot carry much at start anyway.
