Alternative for Germany

Post by notaterran »

After voting closed on Sunday, the AfD was projected to become the strongest party in the eastern state of Thuringia, with 32.8% of the vote, and to come a close second in Saxony, with 30.6% of the vote.

[...]

Scholz described the results as “bitter” and, calling on the European principle of the “cordon sanitaire,” urged mainstream parties in Thuringia and Saxony to exclude the AfD from any state governing coalitions.

"Cordon sanitaire"... Interesting that he's invoking the French elections. So is it mostly about immigration?

In a nutshell it is.Like all populists AfD is utilizing the "fear" of people without having any solution whatsoever.

To quote Kai Borrmann (a prominent AfD member): “That he [Anders Breivik] was a murderer, does not proof, that he was politically wrong.” That quote neatly sums up the political ideology of the AfD in one sentence.

In democracies everyone can vote what they want. There are different reasons to vote, some choose the color, others the program or out of protest.

I still think that only Switzerland is a real democracy, in all the others the power does not come from the people.

Maybe its good for Germany that AFD did win in one state. Now they can show how good they realy are :D
And if not, they will get troubles. And those of yesterday, who believe that things are going to be so bad should ask the Hungarians, Italians, Swedes and Poles how happy they are.

If all votes are counted then the power is from the people. People at the end support the party they voted for, regardless of the reasons.

I don't know the connection between AfD and the above mentioned States.

However if AfD quotes past and present are correctly attributed, it seems Putin will be able to find a new ideological ally.

Coincidentally, exactly the kind of ally his propaganda has been on about for two years already, that I at least watched. Maybe even earlier

Both BSW and AfD are Putins allies. That alone makes it a freaking joke they were able to lie people into voting them. Following the course of what follows Putins breadcrumbs is everything but peace and thus neither economic stability nor less migrants is gained from that.

Just so there is no missunderstanding, it is unlikely that the AfD will actually rule any state. Yes, they are the biggest party in the state of Tühringen, however they "only" have 32 seats. For 50% they would need 44 seats. Now they could of course form a coalition, that is the usual process, however as of now it is still unclear if any of the other parties are actually willing to join them.

Without the chance to fail, AFD will get stronger and stronger, better it happens in one state sooner than in the country later. And once you're at the feeding trough where milk and honey flows, the power quickly goes to your head because "you've earned it..."

And AFD with BSW.....poor Chewie will get in full Russia Phobie mode

Little reason to have any love for Russia. Also, Krah wasn't the first and not the last. BSW leader is all one needs to know where the sympathy goes [and where not].

BSW going to distance to AfD is nothing more then a tactical manoeuver.

The AfD can not fail even if they rule. The idea of demystification is a myth. The AfD will continue to gain voters no matter what, because some Germans are incapable of standing the thought of non-white people or people of a different religion living in our country. De-nazification failed, Germany is the most racist country in the EU. This is what the AfD is about. Everything else is just window dressing and irrelevant. What they crave is clear, to quote Marcel Grauf a former employee of two AfD MdL from Baden Württemberg (edit: I was unable to confirm that he no longer works for the AfD. The MdL in question did neither confirm nor deny if he is still employed with them). Edit: He wrote this in a private chat to a friend. The authenticity was later affirmed by a court:

“After all, we now have so many foreigners in the country that a Holocaust would once again be worthwhile.
[…]

I wish so much for a civil war and millions dead. Women, children. I don't care. It would be so nice. I want to piss on c*****s and dance on g****s. Sieg ****!”

Source for the quote: https://correctiv.org/faktencheck/polit ... -unbelegt/

Edit: Sorry for not censoring the quote ealier. I do not know if that is on purpose or just coincidence, but the moment I send the message I got logged out of my account and was not able to lock in again for some time. I assume that has to do with the some of the content in the last line. I censored it now as good as I could while maintaining clearity about what was said.

Reuters  forget that these countries have taken in more Islamist and black migrants than others. (Pointing the finger at Hungary and Poland).

I know many former migrants (Turkey) who vote for the FPÖ (roughly AFD) because they are not happy with some Islamist immigrants. They say that if Christians in Islamic countries did that, they would burn. .....so what?

I don't know about other listed nations, but somehow Poland became an idealized unicorn for alt-right in last few years.
While we have record low illegal migration in EU, we also have top 1 place of legal migration in EU...6th year in a row.

The reality is very simple - we are much more egalitarian in who we like and who we dislike.

If we invite you - we welcome you with bread and salt
If you try to force yourself in - we welcome you with lead and steel

This is very consistent across centuries:
Germans want to invade - Sword to the face
Germans want to settle to build stuff and do business - welcome, here is polish dictionary, make sure to drop german accent on letter "R"
Germans conspire to overthrow polish King - hello, read this polish word that contain a lot of letter "R"...you can't? Axe to the head.
Muslim Tatars invade - Saber to the face
Muslim Tatars want to settle in - welcome my new fellow neighbour!
Muslim Ottomans want to invade - Saber to the face
Muslim Ottomans want do trade and diplomacy - welcome, show me your wares!
Free Chechens don't like Russia? We don't like it either, welcome!
Khadyrov Chechens like Russia? - Polish division of International Legion would like to know your location.

This year there was a record year of Arab tourists (I mean real ones) visiting Poland.
Other way around, Egypt and Turkey were among top tourist destinations for decades.
Somehow, majority of Indians visiting and working in Poland are Indian-muslim, rather than Indian-hindu and they get along just fine.
If you're legal tourist, student or work visa and you behave with basic decency, you will be fine.

Literally last weekend, there was a beer festival in my city and I saw two ladies in full burkas casually strolling across the stands.
Nobody bat an eye, nobody was commenting, joking, beign stressed or antagonistic...like it was most natural thing ever.
One would think that significantly higher alcohol intake would release some deep inner demons :)
Same with Africans - here majority are students....that study, do some side-jobs (like students do) and generaly are smart enough to not cause any troubles...

...because when troubles arise, "you're racist" card doesn't work in Poland :D, we'll lock and deport your a** in a blink.

That's why were, so sensitive towards illegals:
If you enter our country uninvited, in roaming bands like some raiders, paid by our enemies, then off you go, back behind the fence...enjoy belarussian carrots and potatos with Steven Segal.
If you think we're biased towards some ethnic groups, then you're wrong, coz we do the same with Ukrainians - "Wow, you have so much energy doing crime in Poland? Have fun in Pokrovs trenches. Send Wagner our regards".

"Good fence, makes good neighbours" - material fence on the border and social fence of law in the head.

Without those, you get Germany with AfD at the gates...
...and if clakclak quotes of AfD are true, they are already way too eager for "final solution"

Savages.

Thats ok, i do not say Poland, Hungary do it wrong, they care for the people.
But other EU countrys are under pressure, because of illegal(+asyl) migration.
Look at this statistic: https://de.statista.com/statistik/daten ... ropa-2010/

It shows Number of first-time asylum seekers per million inhabitants* in the Member States in 2023

Curios that the so called nazi countrys have the most of those ppl. :gruebel: And this made AFD (FPÖ) great

You know every community has a guy who is bad at drinking, do horrible things after drinking, eveyone is telling him not to drink, yet he keep reaching for the bottle?

The European community has a peculiar guy, who has a resume of "burning down whole continent twice", genocide-full-bingo-card and 100% perfect track record of conspiring with Russia that ends bad.

All other listed countries have a benefit of the doubt, even Italy (albeit Ethiopia might still be entitled to think differently).

Germany? Don't even try, don't even think about, not even hypotetically.
For the love of God and basic human common sence, no.

Something that may specifically interest you here, Björn Hoecke, who just led the AfD in Thüringen to their best election result so far and made them the strongest party there rountly does things that imply that he may not be the greatest fan of Poland. He for example likes to repeat the slogan shown in bold letters in this picture. This is illegal and he has been found guilty twice now for doing it on two seperate occasions. Furthermore he says about Hitler: "The big problem is that Hitler is portrayed as absolutely evil. But of course we know that there is no black or white in history.” Honestly I was quite suprised how willing the PiS party is when it comes to entertaining the idea of working with one another given quotes like that coming out of the AfD regularly.

That's is PiS anoing feature - beign too slow to read the room, get into something embasaring, then doing 180 rapid course correction.
In the end, PiS stays away from AfD and Fidesz in EU parliment.

According to the polls, working with AfD is big no for every single party in Poland.
Even in Konfederacja, which is the closest to AfD, it is 40% for and 60% against AfD.

This was reflected in EU faction formation this year - only 3 MPs from Poland joined them.
Konfedederacja 6 MP split in the half, where other 3 would rather be non-aligned than with AfD:

I know, but we can work with that - slowly and politely - it's not convinient to drink beer in burka, so nature will find the way on it's own :D
