[#2869] Stuck of dialog frame (Press F)

X4 7.00 HF1 (standard release)

If some of your ships wants to speak with you and you are in the map view,
if you press "M" button (close map) instead of "F" (answer) - then after the time out without answering,
the orange dialog Frame will blink empty forever.

It will disapear only if someone will call you again.
Fastest way is to send any ship to any station with command "dock to trade", he we call you after docking.

While I'm playing regular release 7.00 HF1, which I wrote on top, I created here. Please move where it should be.

Could not repeat it for purpose by command "dock and trade".
Maybe some other factors brings a Bug, maybe the ship is destroyed faster then time out or something else.
But I get this bug with my type of playing and ships quantity evere few days.
I will also try to call it for purpose, sending ships to die

I was just about to post that I appreciate the fact they made the alert pop up over the map but is it intended that you can't answer (F key) while in the map? I was in the middle of setting an order when an alert popped up that I couldn't respond to without closing the map and canceling the incomplete order.

Having the same issue every 45 mins or so, I have to save and reload the game to get around it.
Not a world ending issue, just annoying.

@ Nevling: Please link your vanilla save and identify the affected ship(s) for the devs to investigate even if the save does not immediately show the problem on reload - the devs will look for trigger situations.

I see this bug sometimes too. It only happens when I'm on the map and the ship calls me, never when I'm not on the map (i.e. actively flying around).
If it happens, the call itself is not responsive, i.e. if I press F, nothing happens. If the timer runs out, it transforms into the blinking frame only.

The ship is one of the newly acquired PE around Family Zhin. I don't know which one specifcally, sorry. Two of them are currently in an override order, it should be one of them.

Any new F frame removes the stucked.
On previous release it was possible to remove the Stucked F frame by command "dock and trade", but I think it's removed from 7.10

Do you know any other action in 7.10, to request your ships to ask something from player by another F frame ?
(for purpose, whithout waiting for a Pirats attack or similar)

As mentioned in this thread, it "just happens" sometimes to call frames. I have not been able to identify specific steps to reproduce the issue.

A mod asked for savegames where the issue just occured, so I provided them as I care about this bug being resolved. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

As mentioned earlier, this is difficult to reproduce at will and reloading will always clear it.

But if it helps, I have more often (but not always) had it happen by ignoring the message with the map open and allowing it to time out with the map open. After closing the map I'm left with the empty orange box. I have only had it happen once where I close the map, let it time out and end up with the empty orange box.

Hi,

Just a small workaround for not having to reload the game again to get rid of the frame - switch between full screen to windowed mode and back again (ALT+Enter twice) - and the frame disappears.
