How to take a screenshot
If you are playing the game(s) via Steam, you can simply press [F12] to have your screenshot taken. Steam will give you the option to upload your pictures right away.
Another simpler way is to use a special program that can save images directly to your chosen folder. For those with Nvidia GPUs, there's a program called Nvidia GeForce Experience that does this automatically. Once it is enabled, you can take screenshots just by pressing [ALT+F1] by default.
Just in case you wish to do it the classical way, which copies the captured image into the operating system's clipboard, you need to press the [Alt+PrtScr] button combination on your keyboard. After that, you will need an image editor program (such as MS Paint) to insert to and save your image.
How to showcase your screenshots
We gather the weekly SotW entries on the Official Forum and on our Official Discord.
If you'd like to share your entry on the forum, you'll need to upload the image to an external image hosting service first. We recommend using Steam, because it only captures your screenshot, but also uploads it to their online space right away.
In case Steam is not an option for you, we recommend using imgur.com because it's a user-friendly alternative and doesn't need you to create a profile. Just drag and drop your image onto the website, and it'll upload for you. Then, all you have to do is reply to this thread with the link to your image included in the post. Easy peasy!
If you wish to participate on our official Discord, you first have to navigate to the #media channel and then simply drag and drop the image into the text field - but don’t forget to comment #SOTW along with your entry so that we can easily filter it out!
Tips and Tricks
If you want your entry to stand out, you should disable the Cockpit [CTRL+H] and HUD [SHIFT+H] before taking the picture. Unless of course, you intentionally want these to be part of the picture by means of creativity.
You can use the external camera view [press the F2 key once or twice], the target camera view [F3 key] or the stationary camera [F4 key] where you can pose your ship yourself.
Here's another way to take more professional-looking pictures: Equip your ship with a trusty Paranid Mass Driver weapon. This weapon acts like a zoom lens for your in-game camera, helping you focus better on your subjects. It narrows the field of view and brings the background closer, essentially separating your subject from the background a lot better. It's like having a "portrait mode" for your space photography!
We generally do not disallow the usage of image editing / image enhancing softwares, such as Adobe Photoshop, NVIDIA Ansel, and Reshade. Just be cautious with special effects as it's easy to go overboard. Overusing effects can lower the picture's quality and even disqualify your entry - so, use them wisely!
Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and have your work recognized by the community!
Best of luck to all contestants, and may the most awe-inspiring screenshot win!

I'm not sure if they're up to snuff since I don't have any screenshots with maxed out settings/Ansel or anything, but I do have some from regular gameplay that I think are nice.

Heys, sorry about the difficult circumstance my wording has gotten us. 'We allow multiple entries per participant, but we will only pick 1 winning picture' - is what I meant.
However, considering the insane amount of entries we have received on Discord in particular, I will have to think about limiting the submissions to '1 entry per person per week' as you said.
