Thanks Chew-ie.

BG3 the Final patch is public, there will be a few more bug fix patches, but no new content changes.

12 more sub-classes, cross play and photo mode are the headline features, and as usual reams of fixes ironed out in the beta ..

https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.ph ... Post956873

GOG patch is just over 125gb.

I hope my crash is in those fixes.

But I saw one obvious one, when a multiplayer player joins, it now says their name

I'm most happy with all the new subclasses. The amount of choice we have now in building a party and all of the possible combinations of skills has made this game so much more replayable. Never had an adventure game with so much pull to do it all again in different ways, and there is so much to discover in the game you can easily miss.
So glad they stuck at it and made the game into a diamond, its up there with X4, Cyberpunk 2077 and NMS as my long term favourite single player games with great longevity. I love games that will last me literally years instead of hours.

I know you shouldn't judge a developer by the size of their patch notes, but theirs are enough to make anyone feel inadequate.

:) yep, reams of them.
We could think that if they have that many bugs to squish in every patch, then they aren't so good in the first place, but the amount of dedication thats gone into eradicating every one of them is commendable. Much bigger dev team than Egosoft, but I rate them on a par in that they dont just take the money and run but really dig in to solving all issues that players will be miffed with.
I get eye strain just trying to read them all.

I have at the office game when I am a Moon Druid. Now thinking maybe changing to Spore Druid instead.

My home solo game that lags behind, I have started as a Cleric with debuff spells.

Right now, no idea, still beta testing X4.
But when I get round to it, it will probably take about a week to decide what my party is going to consist of :D
Maybe longer than that, character creation considerations are so complex now especially if you want to maximise hits in a turn you cant really diverge much without ruining potential during the levelling up stages.
For now I am just biding my time and letting them get on with polishing the final update to as near perfection as they will, then will jump back in for a serious playthrough.

it seems Wild Shape Panther got changed or fixed. The invisibility now not per rest, and simply is an action

FIXES

Crashes and Performance

Fixed a potential crash related to using the Find Familiar spell on Scratch and Boo during combat.

Xbox

Fixed a crash that could occur when suspending and then resuming the game mid-cinematic.
Fixed a crash when loading a save while playing an Honour Mode game.
Fixed an issue that could cause the game to hang and become unresponsive when exiting to the Main Menu from an Honour Mode game.
Selecting View Xbox Live Profile via the Larian Friends list will now correctly show the user's gamercard.
Fixed a Cross-Play issue where, if one player had their cross-network privileges blocked on Xbox and was then invited to a multiplayer session by a friend, they wouldn't get notified of the conflict in their settings telling them why they couldn't proceed to the lobby.
Fixed a bug where creating a new game in Honour Mode after having loaded a previous savegame would cause the game to get stuck at 33% or 83% loading.

Gameplay

Fixed the Hound of Ill Omen and the Accursed Spectre's HP being affected by difficulty modifiers for enemy characters.
Fixed a bug causing the Apostle of Myrkul to regain Hit Points every time you load a savegame mid-combat in Tactician and Honour Mode.

Audio

Fixed a bug causing the sounds that djinn summons make when they follow you to loop continuously, creating an uncharacteristic metallic thrum.
When you're on the ground floor of Felogyr's Fireworks, the smokepowder explosions going off on the floor above will no longer sound like they're happening right next to you.
Fixed the audio levels for a rat in the Lower City that you, tragically, couldn't hear squeak when it squoke.
Fixed missing SFX when preparing to cast Wind Walk.
Fixed an issue causing the SFX to play longer than they should when preparing to cast the Way of the Drunken Master's subclass-specific actions.
Fixed missing SFX when preparing to cast Booming Blade.
Fixed the SFX for preparing a Starry Form continuing to play if you cast the spell quickly after selecting it.
Fixed missing SFX when Astarion taps Woe on the ground during a cinematic.
Fixed missing SFX in the overhead dialogue between Minthara and the questioners in Moonrise Towers Prison.
Fixed a sound resource for Photo Mode not being generated correctly.
Fixed the rattling Moonlantern SFX continuing to play after you unequip it.
Recovered some missing SFX when casting Speak with Dead on the mind flayer in the Shattered Sanctum.
Reminded Halsin to actually yell when he gains barbarian Rage instead of silently miming it.
Fixed the SFX during Vlaakith's appearance at camp getting cut off prematurely.

Cinematics

Told one of the imps on the nautiloid to stop looking in the wrong direction.
Fixed a super-mega-ultra-close-up shot during the dialogue with Raphael at Last Light.
Removed a static pool of blood hovering mid-air in the cinematic with the gnolls on the Risen Road when playing as a short Dark Urge character.
Fixed Karlach's line about Gale being a hero getting cut off prematurely.
Fixed a bug causing party members to appear as floating torsos (or simply floating hair) when talking to Ketheric's dog, Squire.

I feel like I play the buggiest and most vague class. Maybe it's a feature

- does panther invisibility work once per long rest? nobody knows, some say it's a bug, some a feature. Maybe it was recently fixed? Depends on your luck
- Myrmidon healing, works in combat only. Alright, game could have explained that
- Sabertooth tiger healing works in combat or out of combat? Actually still unclear. Mind you I play with a group and we don't reload saves, making testing time consuming.
- Does healing while drunk amulet work every tick like it says? No. Maybe.
- Does wild shape end concentration? No.. Except for when yes

so we are pretty far, I think playing with four people is quite fun, I recommend.

we are in act 3 and the game is taking interesting turns and side tracks. Our group plays 3 times a week on average, during our lunch time.

but bg3 is not well optimized for 4 custom characters, as all side characters miss their story lines and eventually leave our camp. We don't have even a straightforward way to do their stories, as it requires disconnecting, using Withers wardrobe, recruiting camp NPC, and then reconnecting.

2-3 player co-op is maybe better optimized
