Make sure you install the unoffical patch first, followed by the old plots.

And as linux is case sensetive, make sure the directory names are correct, ie addon2/director, not Addon2/Director

Thanks Cycrow, that fixed it - the Old Plots zip has some folders with uppercase letters. Now it's working!

Hello All,

I also face issues with the story plot progression - I added the unofficial patch and TC/AP plots roughly halfway through my FL playthrough, which pretty immediately triggered the treasure hunt quest.
I was also able to see the extended start options in the start menu, found the argon military sector and the goner temple was gone, so I assumed everything had installed nicely.

By now I (finally) finished off the terran spy plot and was excited to go though the bridge plot to switch over to TC and then eventually AP, but I got no message and nothing appeared in Elenas Fortune either.
Is there a specific time needed to wait to trigger the bridge plot?
I idled in SETA for a couple minutes to make sure I wasn't just too fast, but so far nothing has shown up.

However, as I understand, the Goner and Khaak quests should be available immediately after installing the plots, so I checked if I could find the respective quest NPCs, and found no quest conversations in either Omicron Lyrae Alpha, or Elysium of Light.
Is something broken here, or did I just misunderstand and they unlock after the bridge plot?

I installed the current versions of both the unofficial patch and TC/AP Plots, and even reinstalled them yesterday to make sure they are up to date.
I am also on linux (Ubuntu-based), so I installed from the ZIP file and moved the scripts and director directories as described above.

I would really like to play though TC/AP from here (especially as I am already pretty far into the game in In-game time ^^'), so any help would be greatly appreciated!

PS: As a sanity check I quickly started a "Terran Defender" TC-Start game in FL and at least for the first mission, everything seems to work fine, so It looks like it is the save game specifically that is broken.
Are there any concrete steps that can be done to restore a savegame from that state?

Am I right in saying that if I run a custom start I can't play the TC hub plot as that only triggers in TC and classic starts? I saw the hub setting in the setup menu and wondered if it's possible.

I want to recreate my original Teladi Trafficker run from TC but that start isn't available and I have unfinished business with The TC hub plot!

I also would quite like the version where the Aran is still in UFJD sectors. Is that still available?l or condemned to the dustbin of history!
