How to configure UTs to visit allowed sectors only?

I'm trying to use this feature to limit the number of sectors UTs could visit. The idea is to allow them to trade in small sectors with gates only, because I don't want to wait till a ship crosses the whole Void system to get some Silicon Wafers. So, I created a new profile, put all races there as "Block" and added sectors I'm interested to trade in as "Whitelist". Attached the list to the ships profile, linked the related commands to that profile and restarted the UT. But it didn't help and they still go whatever they want. What I'm doing wrong?

P.S. All ships are configured to autojump, so I don't expect they would have no route to their destination.

Has no one ever encountered this problem? From my experience it looks that these lists don't work as they should.

Have you checked the settings of the UT himself?

There's an option to ignore disallowed sectors.

Yes, I tried both Yes and No there. It didn't help.
