There is no option that I can find for this, but it would be nice, as I see a lot other factions have their ships named scavenger, and I do not think the AI of the game is a that funny guy th rename them in that way.
That would be silly?

There is a setting that I might have overlooked, it is not that there are a few of themHwitvlf wrote: ↑Tue, 29. I think the floating wares have to be visible though (found by satellite or passing ship). It should work well with Piracy Command Software, but I've never tried.
This game engine is very old. X3 Reunion appeared more than 17 years ago and some legacy are still there, I believe, even from the past century. This game times have passed away and now in X3FL we have not an 'official Egosoft game' but an 'official fan mod' that was created by a small group of people. And the X3 Universe is so big and complex, so this is quite acceptable when something is overlooked or isn't tuned well. In fact, we have the last chance to enjoy this great game and it's never going to happen again. Personally, I accept all these small bugs the game has and looking for a way how to use the current peculiarities and get some profit from that.
So, I guess you are not gonna share those things?iXenon wrote: ↑Wed, 30. Nov 22, 11:06This game engine is very old. For example, do you know that you can get Jump Beacons for free? Or that you can multiply Engine Tuning and Rudder Optimizations upgrades for the same ship class and get a fleet of overtuned ships? Some bugs are funny and useful and it's pity when they got fixed.

Why not? Here you can find how to get Jump Beacons and here is the discussion about that upgrades duplicate.Mr.Killer wrote: ↑Wed, 30. I only tried once in an old version of FL. I think it works with M6 class ships and causes them to seek and destroy freighters. I didn't notice them collecting goods so maybe you need a freighter set to keep collecting wares in the same sector. I'll have to give it a try and learn more about it. A group of escorts is probably a good idea also as armored freighters with MK2 drones can be tough.
Thanks for the insight, but for me that is far to difficult to realize. I still struggle with some of the settings in the game that makes me overflow in mistakes. I was hoping for a far more simpeler option, like find a blueprint somewhere, or gain it through contacting someone, or with discoverypoints or let diplomacy work it out? No, it is not simple, I understand, but then I think it is not for me. (getting jumpbeacons that is)iXenon wrote: ↑Wed, 30. Nov 22, 13:57Why not? As long as you have the storyline enabled you'll get the best M4 for the job, the scorpion. Equip it with Mass Drivers and Pulsed Beam Emitters and you're halfway thereiXenon wrote: ↑Thu, 1. Dec 22, 14:26 For the first attempt it takes some time but it's possible (if you have official version 1.3, not the unofficial patch). Here I provided some details about the procedure. It is worth to spend some time for that because JBs are very useful. It's a part of daily routine gameplay once you get them.![]()
