Anyone has x-tension save with getsu fune unlocked? Trying to experience x universe history with limited time

Hey bro,

This is the second time I am typing this message as I accidently closed the window on the first one. Also... before anyone gets on me for uploading this file... I legit had quite a bit of issues getting 4:3 working properly on my 16:9 monitor... setting up the joystick was tricky... and I am not sure that people have as much patience as I do when it comes to getting everything just perfect. It is possible though people, it is possible to get the 4:3 image stretched to your 16:9 monitor and have everything display where it should. Also.. there were issues with the joystick drifting in X:Tension, I couldn't fix this.. I legit played though the whole game though and beat the Perseus missions with the drifting and I forgot to upgrade my X shuttle's rudder .. essentially I played the final boss on hard mode... it was awesome.

Here we go again. Okay, so, attached is all of my saved game files for X-Tension. UnRAR them in the X-Tension directory. The second last game file has all of the ships unlocked and upgraded including the Paranid Perseus(Even put a jumpdrive on that badboy.. not sure why since its cargo can only hold a max of 25, but there ya go), the X shuttle from the first game, and of course you can go immediately to Getsu Fune.

...BUT.... don't do that..

In the last save game slot you can play the entire Paranid Perseus mission and unlock the X shuttle, Paranid Perseus, and Getsu Fune. I highly recommend you doing it, as there is a tiny bit of lore you might want to see at the very end of the game when you get the TL. Do it! In order to play the Paranid Perseus missions, you load up the last save game and dock at the Paranid Shipyard and that is the beginning.

So... this is how I recommend to play the X Series.

Strong Recommendations:
#1. Play X: Beyond the Frontier (120 hours)
#2. Play the opening video from X-Tension to fill you in on the gaps in the story, then play the Paranid missions for the little extra lore.
#3. Read the book Farnham's Legend on Kindle and Paperback!
#4. Play X2: The Threat
#5. Read the book Nopileos in English on Kindle
#6. Play X3: Reunion
#7. Read the book X3: Yoshiko in English on Kindle
#8. Learn German
#9. Read X3: Hüter der Tore
#10. Read X3: Wächter der Erde
#11. Play X3: Terran Conflict
#12. Play X: Rebirth
#13. Read: X Rebirth: Plutarch Rising
#14. Play X4: Foundations

Eazy peazy. Should be done in about 3000 hours...ish.

i'm actually going to use that timeline for book reading, thank you for that! I bought english X books but wasn't sure about the chronological order.

Also if you have X3 save when gate to sol opens for first time… seen it on YouTube, but it’s more fun to be able to poke around that sector (heretic end?) and target Terran ships and see what they are like

Load up the second last game save. Exit the factory, head towards the south gate, talk to the Argon One for the "lengthy, amazing, unbelievable, CGI" of the cutscene... then take all the goodies and blow up the Argon One out of spite.... okokok... don't do the last part. 120 hours and this is all I get?!??!

I have upgraded the X craft to the maximum of 30 engine tunings and... it is so fast(make sure to hit Shift-J for the superspeed). The cargobay is at like 800 or something. I think it is possible to get it to 1000. My factories are in boron and teladi space.

I am replaying all games quickly in sequential order. I have the save game files for X2. But they are old and I totally forget the plot from like 20 years ago. So I am gonna redo it. Then onto X3. I think for X2 and X3 I will not start the story until I have enough money. Did you see all of my factories in X-Tension? Broooo... that took so long to make man...

I will post the save games for X2 and X3 once I have created an empire so they should be pretty easy to follow the story.

X: BtF and Tension have lots of charm... but oh man, BtF... no list of ships in sector, no map of sectors, i wouldn't have known where to find Argon One if you didn't tell me lol. I can't imagine playing BfF right now. Tension feels bit easier.

Ookokok, this is the second time I have tried to post this post.

Here we go... after 260ish hours of play... X2-The Threat on X-Treme difficulty, this really kicked my butt. I couldn't setup any proper factories, all of my ships kept on being destroyed by the COC... wait ... Kha'ak.. , legit, I tried everything, I outfitted all of my delivery ships with 75MW shields, best weapons set to protect each ship. That didn't do anything, I was quickly notified that a ship was attacking them and then boom, they were dead before I had a chance to defend. It was really tricky, in the end I had to give up on my mines and factories and focus on the Universal Traders, they were the only ones who consistently made money and didn't die. I almost gave up on this game, was like 100 hours in and just I really had nothing, I really tried to do this on my own and not look up any help on the forums, but 260 hours in ... I have the Ody, it owns everything. I think I know what to do next time, but damn... I almost quit, it was so hard to get things working like I did in X-Tension. Over the past 3 months I have put about 600 hours in to X, XT, &X2. Can't wait to finally get to X3

My recommendations, start the game, play it for like an hour or two to get the feel of the controllers, I just played the single opening mission of picking up the guy and then following Brett to the sector to scan the Jumpgate, I scanned the jumpgate and then I got all of the money bought the best ships in the game, and that is where the save game file starts. Put the saves in the directory containing X2 and the load up my save.

Save file: before the start of the story. I have the best ship in the game, the Paranid Odysseus, maxed out shields and weapons. This is not just a station killer, it is a sector killer, this will decimate everything in the game, be careful. You can sell the ship and buy any other ship in the game, I think I still have 20 mill in extra credits to buy anything else you need. How did you end starting being profitable early in X2? Would stations near well defended stations in core sectors be safer from khaak?

Hey Bro,

Nice to hear from you. So... in the very beginning on X-Treme difficulty, I collected hidden crates in stations. Sold them, bought a SETA, did the first mission, sold the shields from the ship the Terracorp lent me, then I had a couple hundred k in the bank. Bought a Teladi Vulture, maxxed out the cargo, traded in silicon until I got a few mission credits, bought a Argon Nova, maxed it out, then started pirating pirate ships, sold each Orinoko for like 500k, saved up like 10 million credits, bought like 5 universal traders using Paranid transporter ships, maxed out the ships and shields. Let my computer run for like 5 days straight and collected 200 million credits bought everything I needed in between. NOW.... That being said... I made so many mistakes playing this game... oh so many.

Oh so many.

I know more now, but ... I just wish some things were a little more intuitive. Or I could be dumb... which is possible.. ehheheh.

Would stations near well defended stations in core sectors be safer from khaak?

Load up my save... I put in the advanced satellites in every single sector many times, the same sectors kept on getting their satellites destroyed. So this is what I would recommend, look for a cluster of sectors that do not have satellites destroyed and build your stations there. Yes to be clear, absolutely some sectors are safer than others, would recommend to build somewhere in between Boron and Teladi space, right on the top of the map there, that seems pretty safe to me.

I can't believe I am done with X2... sheesh.
