It's ready! X4: Tides of Avarice, the third expansion for our current game X4: Foundations, is now available for download, along with the free major 5.00 update for the base game. Today, we are thrilled to announce that X4: Tides of Avarice, our new expansion for X4: Foundations, will be available from March 14, 2022, along with the major 5.00 update for the base game.

Encountering and interacting with previously unknown, lawless pirate and scavenger factions, will challenge your perception of social order and justice in the X universe. In new sectors and dangerous regions, you will not only discover new ships and stations, but also encounter stellar phenomena that will significantly influence your plans and actions. What is it all about, and who are the mysterious manipulators that have learned to master a rare and vital resource? Your journey will lead you towards the answers. Set out and discover a new chapter of X4: Foundations.

X4: Tides of Avarice will be available for download on March 14, 2022 from 6pm CET [5pm GMT / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT] on Steam and GOG. For more details, visit the expansion's Steam page, where you can now pre-purchase X4: Tides of Avarice or add it to your wishlist.

In the run-up to the release, you can look forward to the following:

Split Vendetta was clearly unfinished with placeholder values used for the "build us a fleet" mission and Cradle of Humanity had the fleet in the final mission get distracted by and attack every single Xenon station on the way to the final battle meaning only a handful of ships would reach the amplifier after what must have been an entire hour of SETA.

Less than one month away. Excited to finally be able to click the "Add to Cart" button on Steam. New Pirate ships! I have really missed seeing the Galleons, Brigantines, Carracks, and Blastclaws, from X3. Having these in the game really helps round out the universe.

Given how past releases went, probably not. That’s the way they release new paid content. I‘m also not sold on why I should buy this dlc. So far we know we get a few sectors, few new ships, two new factions, new plots (I guess 2-3?). Will see what the paid content creators show on the livestream and decide whether it’s worth the full price for me.

Not exactly sure what you're asking here. To Clarify about the Soundtrack when each DLC previously released (as a holder of the Collectors Edition) the Soundtrack was included as a nice bonus {included as seperate content]
I'm asking if the soundtrack is included with Tides of Avarice Expansion so on the March release date it follows Egosofts other X4 Expansions.

Understood. The expansion and the soundtrack are two seperate products. Neither of them will be included in the X4: Foundations Collector's Edition, nor will there be a "Tides of Avarice bundle".
