there was an article years ago with following title

paraphrasing,

what happens when the one that provided security and democracy (1) turns fascist

(1) I don't agree it really did that, but we can very approximately say that with big quotes

trump announces 3 day ceasefire to help russia. trump is helping putin again. The same with continuing the iran blockade.

Ukraine helping the US works against natos interests given the US current invasion activities of nato countries and other countries and the US attack on the EU/NATO economy, democracy and security. It's like helping russia invade Ukraine. It's not a good look.

With recent Azov stunt, they send drones to do plain daylight attacks on logistic trucks in Mariupol - the entire land corridor to Crimea is now in Ukraines drone and missile strikes range.
Now, if that pesky Kerch bride would have unfortunate critical malfunction :D

The Kerch Bridge is next to useless as a transport route, as it cannot be used by heavy vehicles as it is so unstable, so it can only be used by small vans and cars. Also, a couple of weeks back Ukraine destroyed the boats Russia was using to defend it, so we shouldn't be surprised if it is attacked sometime in the near future. Personally I don't think they will attack it, I think they will leave it as an escape route for the Russians that are left in Crimea which will be going down as there is no food, water or fuel because Ukraine has destroyed all other transport routes and vehicles, making it a dieing island with no hope of respite.

trump personally invites Former Polish Justice Minister Ziobro to hide in the US after the Hungary election defeat

https://www.politico.eu/article/ex-pola ... usk-trump/

Fugitive former Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro is now in the United States courtesy of a visa from President Donald Trump after fleeing Hungary.

Ziobro had been in Hungary since 2025 after former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán granted the disgraced minister asylum. New Hungarian leader Péter Magyar, however, promised to launch extradition proceedings against Ziobro upon taking office.

Ziobro is wanted in Poland over the alleged misuse of public funds and the deployment of Pegasus spyware against political opponents. He has consistently denied the charges, calling the investigation a political vendetta from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

I found Zelenskyy's open letter to Putin a nice piece of politics. Either Putin accepts the need for peace (fat chance, but theoretically possible), or Zelenskyy gets the moral victory of making Putin look like a warmonger.
