(finally possible with precision thanks to environment being shown in the designer - wish it were possible to accurately deploy for a custom game start though!)
Utilising research data from the Terran Jump Gate Initiative these defensive structures connect directly to existing jump gates, siphoning an incidental amount of energy from the structure to power an impressive arsenal of point defence weaponry. Quickly devised fearing another Xenon incursion into Terran space following the reactivation of the jump gates, the proven success of the Ring Gate Defence has led to calls for broader expansion across known jump gates where political tensions allow.

NB: This defence perimeter acts as one contiguous structure in the station planner, allowing a simple drag, rotate and drop onto any gate desired. The central module connected to everything for positioning purposes is one of the disc defence modules on the side.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
It looks like it's positioned too far back. The E docks are to either side of the gate, whereas in your screenshot they're behind the gate.
You should be able to see how it's supposed to line up in the planning screenshots. You can use the top defence disc to centre it, the side ones should 'hook' into the gaps of the gate, then adjust the vertical position so it doesn't clip through on either side.
Fired up the game to take some example screenshots of build planner placement in Segaris, Frontier Edge and Two Grand (though the installation is mounted backwards in Two Grand, not that it matters)
Not that I know of... Went through the whole mod list, and from what I know - there isn't even a mod that makes jump gates bigger...
All the other construction plans work perfect, I just can't get this one to work properly...
I absolutely adore this nice design, I tested and then to stay in line with my stations I recreated, keeping your style, on the other hand
All modules are connected and the docking module just in front (screenshot) is the root of all modules so it's easier to position.
So I wanted to ask your permission to put the xml file on my page. (I would put a link to your page) (terran solar panel are just cosmetic, the two little fabrication module and argon living space too, Lack of decoration modules in X4)
Probably easier to position, but no longer 'part of the gate'.
Yes it's true, i have both station on the map now mine and yours
I'm using you're station in my headquarters sector to dock my cargo (for appro construction or other thing) near gate

This looks like a really cool X4 retake on the old ring of fire, nice idea Adeine
Does it ever cause any clipping with L / XL ships teleporting in (as opposed to ships actually using the gate and warping in) ?
Hasn't for me, the only issue teleporting sometimes causes is it makes ships appear at an inefficient angle for the large turrets if you're in sector (off to the side of the gate rather than inside or in front/back).
But with an ideal loadout (L plasma) they're close enough to initiate anyway.
Thanks adeine
I'm experimenting with Terran L Bolts and M Bolts throughout for speed and accuracy (though I know Par Plasma would probably be better for range and damage on capitals, my first Ring Defence is just to protect my home sector which is well away from any major threats).
Any ring defence I set up which is crucial versus Xenon is going to have Par L Plasma + Terr M Bolts

Can you show where/how to place the plot on the map for the station?
You can place the plot directly over the top of a gate, it shows as red but the game currently allows you to place it .. or at least it did for me
Then import the construction, and just grab the whole sequence of modules to position them precisely around the gate.
