Requirements for starting the Terran Plot in X3FL

I believe that among other things, to start the Terran Plot you have to build a TOA. Are these bought at a shipyard or do I have to build one. If so how?

You have to build one at your HQ.

When you buy rights to a sector from the Explorers Guild the blueprint will be added

You need to get from the explorer's guild - Special Discovery. You'll be sent to a trade station to contact someone, then asked to scan a specific sector with LFL. Once you progress you'll then be asked to escort an Argon Mammoth to a destination. You then gain access to Terran Space. I'm thinking about starting a custom game, in the starting interface there's option for Terran unlock with mission, if i enable this can i get to do the Terran Plot? of is there any other way to get the Kogarasu Maru in custom games?

Yes if you set it to Mission then the Terran Plot will be active.

And unlock the Terran sectors once you complete it.

For the Maru, you can just give yourself one from the custom start dialog

Oh i was asking cause i can't find it in the ship list (as of 1.3) :(
I guess the Terran plot still the easiest way to get it then

Plot part where you deliver 3850 energy cells not working. Piloting the TS ship with e-cells, I approach the Heavy Load Transporter, but nothing happens. Had the same issue with FL plot, when docking at Royal Boron Research Facility to deliver 2850 e-cells, mission would never update. Any advice? This is breaking the game for me.

If I remember correctly you must not be piloting the ship with the e-cells. Just order it to follow the Heavy Load Transporter. When it gets near enough, the goods are transferred automatically.

I remember having some problem with this part of the mission. But not quite what.

This walk through https://roguey.co.uk/x3fl/help/guides/t ... /page2.php suggests loading up a TS with all the required wares, and unloading it in one go.

Maybe the Heavy Load Transporter wants the goods in a particular order.

Sorry to bother, but have you figured this out? I’m currently facing the same issue, dock my Demeter with 2700 e-cells and nothing happens

No bother. Check the cargo bay of the ship to see if there is any on board. Check the mission screen to see what it says is needed, it will change it's numbers based on what is left. I don't think the game gives you any audible notification. Also, try piloting the ship yourself when it's close enough. The transfer happens instant and automatic.

Edit- I also think you need to be in the same sector with it as well.
