It's not very clear to me how station upgrading works.
Let's take the BoFu Chemical Lab M that the plot wants you to build.
It says "Upgrade M Ready" under info, what exactly do I need to do now?
Build a BoFu Chemical Lab L blueprint from my SpaceLab Headquarters (which I have)? Can I apply the "L" upgrade to my "M" station, is that how it works? Then what, how do I apply the upgrade to the station, do I have to hire another TL again?
I've looked at the surivival guide but it's not very clear how to do it in practice, it only explains what it does in theory.
Station upgrading, not clear how to do it.

For upgrading an M station, you need a TL station transporter with Build Command Software Mk2 as well as a Station Upgrade Kit M. Go to the cargo menu of your TL ship, and select the "Upgrade" option from the Upgrade Kit. Afterwards you get the stations displayed for selection which are ready for an M upgrade -> to L upgrade. For the next level you will then need an Upgrade Kit L, and so on.

Also, you can apply the upgrade kits via Hired TL's as well. Most Hired TL's should have the right software installed for it

The hired TL dissapears, when it tries to land on Space Lab HQ in Void Epsylon...If I put him in GOD mode via Cheat Menu and also disable collisions, then TL lands normaly an everything kinda works.Cycrow wrote: Sat, 8. Hired TLs should still be visible under your properties menu. "R" is the default to open it. In the case of a TL that you own, you just buy the upgrade from a shipyard, open the freight of the TL that you own while it's in system, and it will give you the option when you select the upgrade kit in your TL. Once you select upgrade, it should give you a list of in-sector factories that are eligible for it. As for transferring the upgrade kit, you do that the same way as with the factory you made. You may have to re-hire that TL in the start area if that's what your doing. To produce the upgrade kit yourself, you need to acquire it from a shipyard using a diplomat.Igec wrote: Thu, 9.
