Station traders not trading

I set up a quantum tube factory and a superfluid coolant factory in the same sector. The Quantum Tubes only need superfluid coolant as there is a graphene production inside it. I gave the quantum tubes fact. a trader but the trader does nothing. I have set the buy amount to max and set it to auto, I have also tried doing the same but opposite with the superfluid factory. It doesn't matter which station the trader is assigned to, he just floats around in space not transporting any goods.
I wanted to make on superfluid factory to supply all my future stations in this space but right now this is not looking possible.
Anyone got any ideas?

I also get this a lot, there is clearly a station buying a ware and another selling that at a lower price, why is the trader sitting there searching for trades?
Maybe make it so a new trade is searched and queued slightly before the previous trade is completed?
