Help with taking over a sector

I have built a base in Matrix 451 and removed all Xenon presence there. It shows as contested.....

The only other base present there is a defense platform from the Teladi..... why is it still showing as Xenon/contested

(i saved game, loaded a mod which makes all stations visible just to ensure there wasn't a hidden xenon base there)


Any advice for managing this without going to war with the Teladi?

I'd say it's because of the Teladi defense platform. I'm pretty sure those are built with admin buildings on them.

Kind of sucks then if they move in at the same time that i remove all xenon and get to claim the sector too. I suppose i could always attack them then regain my standing. Any other more creative solutions without modding?

Hack the turret and drone controls then alpha strike the admin center with a strong and fast 50+ fleet of missile bombers. You can select individual modules in the map (press the plus sign next to the station) as the attack target. This will turn the station back to a factory giving you the sector with the least aggression possible. It will still likely drop your rep a lot but wont be negative. Of course instantly recall your ships and go out of sector to drop the temporal -30 on the station.

Or if you have a loooooot of time herd some Kha'ak to it from the nearby installation.
