How to install a minefield?

I welcome the pilots.
There was a question about the gameplay, to which I can not find a clear answer on the network.
interested in mines.
with the mechanics of mines everything is clear, but how to install minefields in the game to protect certain directions?
because the mines should be placed at a certain distance from each other, so that if one were to be blown up, everyone would not explode.
one by one is not an option, it is even worse than reassigning paratroopers one by one.
maybe there is some kind of mod to install minefields?
there is a minefield sector. the developers did not set every mine one by one, so there is some kind of mechanic for the installation.

There is a mod which will add a sphere of mines. Seeing as how mines do not function out of sector, I don't see what point mines have in this game though. If you are not in the same sector as the mine, they will not damage enemy ships.

Don't bother with mines - they don't work when OOS - you have to be in the same area as mines in order them to work.
