Can't Build Any Ships Anywhere - Basically Can't Play

I am playing X4 v2.0. I have over 3M credits, but can't build any ships anywhere.

What is the point of this game if you can't build ships? I can't even finish "The
Experiment" because...no ships.

I don't get it. Is everybody's experience like this?

Why can't you buy?

Not enuff materials at the Wharf/Shipyard?
Insufficient credits?
To low of rep?

See what is needed to complete the build (Engine Parts usually) and provide it to the wharf/shipyard yourself and if they wont accept what is needed then that means they have a full storage (bugged out)
if that is the case then buy things that don't require that part and try again to sell them what is needed with a little perseverance you will be able to buy a ship...pain in the butt but it's a must for now until they fix it

Pretty much, yes. Note that you can sometimes squeeze in a small ship order, even if the wharf says it has not enough resources. Other than that, it's either wait for ~10 hours (at this point the situation seems to improve somewhat), or ferry the parts yourself. You can always, uh, "acquire" a freighter without paying for it, of course.

There is a YouTube video that shows where there are 5 free ships just sitting out there to be claimed. I would not worry about the Odysseus or Osprey for now but there is an Elite, Kestrel and I forget the rest sitting out there. You just have to fly out and scan them down based on the locations on the video.

Hey i encountered the same issue yesterday too, beside my ordered ships vanishing while building without money refund bc a bug.

I actually found a Shipyard which ONLY sells freighters of S and M size and has all parts on stock.

Its in trinity Sanctum VII, there is a jump gate from trinity Sanctum III to that sector, prety much hard to miss imo.

With that freighter i bought there i delivered the missing engine parts and i finally got my fleet started.
