Im on a ROG 1080ti oc, 1080p due to monitor.. 32gig ram ryzen 7 2700x 960 evos m.2s for os and games.. Today I hit the low rate of 30to 40 only inside an argon station on the docks, there was indeed a good amount of traffic and npcs tho. I also am using the 1.32beta patch. However there was a hell of a lot of ships and npcs rofl

However this issue has been pointed out in a number of topics.
one idea was to uninstall any nvidia sound drivers .. dont ask me why, I am saying what I have read
turn off ship waypoints and stuff in the map
ensure you dont have a crap ton of stuff on startup
ofc drivers..

There was also a issue with having rapid mode turned on, for SSD's that caused some sort of issue somewhere..

Your computer is jacked up then. Stop running 8,000 programs at launch, stop crypto mining, run a virus scan, update drivers, etc cause the problem is definitely on your end with that rig.

I have a rather older machine, with an i7 4790k and GTX 970 and average around 50FPS in X4, rarely dropping below 40 except in the map, and that's on high.

oh yeah.. I got everything on ultra.
Im not complaining, just stating that if its in a station with a mass amount of traffic and npcs that it would probably happen.
happens in map and upgrade screen. Just letting the op know that he aint alone but it should not be a constant issue and running 19fps all the time

Must suck, that I am getting 60+ fps on a 2500k 1060 3gb on high graphics, and only dip into single digits when I run SETA or Cheat Engine to run a game speed hack?

Gotta say, the CPU industry has really shit the bed in the last 8 years. We don't need more cores boys, we need you to give us faster cores. My i5 2500k is OC'd at 4.8 ghz, while it's obviously less efficient than yours, but I bet it's got a higher clock speed unless you overclocked yours as well. RIP 2011 CPU has higher clock speed than brand new 1k dollar CPU

i5 9600k, 1070ti 6gb, 16gb 3200mhz RAM, m.2 ssd etc

Ultra preset, msaa 4x, 1080p = 100+ fps in space (GPU 100%, CPU 40%-60%) 50ish fps in map (GPU drops to 50%) stations too but it seems way smoother since 1.32.

Very happy with smooth performance, I think i5 9600k is just perfect for this game (and any other I've tried) 6 cores no HT. Haven't even bothered to overclock it, turbo is 4.6 ghz, but it never needs to go over 4.4ghz

We need more details... I have lower specs all around and the only time I got it to his 19 fps pretty much map mode and even as low as 10 there. But normal game world 30+ fps

I have both the 1080ti and i7 7820x (plus a bunch of other things!) and my game blazes. Then again, I watch my game, not a frame counter.
