Anyone else run into an unknown ship yet?

When I first saw this I was like WTF!? and then I took a closer look. I was expecting one of the unknown ufo ships known to be in pretty much each game but WHY is it using an Osprey model? I'm gonna assume it's a placeholder cause the art department isn't finished like some parts of the rest of the game.

i think its simply a bug, the question mark looks like your ship didnt yet register its origin, havent seen it yet myself but im nearly sure its not intended

Egosoft has a history of inserting "unknown objects" into it's game. Specifically ships of unknown design potentially by races not known, or simply completely custom ships.

I don't recognize that ship, maybe it is one of them?

It looks like an Osprey, I can't be sure though I'll have to look in a shipyard to see the model. I was in a Teladi controlled sector so... yea

I've seen "Unknown Ships" resolve into actual ships before, but you usually don't see it because it happens at the very edge of radar range.

That's definitely an Osprey. Hell, it's a Ministry of Finance Osprey, I can tell by the symbol on it. Game might've glitched.
