1.30 advanced satellite don't reveal the whole circle

Post by Buzz2005 »

Ianamus Zura IV
If you place a advanced satellite in this sector the map reveal is smaller then the green circle
But for example in Bright Promise it works like intended

Either the green circle is buged or the reveal is and I think its only is sectors that have subsectors or zones I don't know how to call them

Have you checked the size of the sectors involved, as if i remember correctly Ianamus Zura IV is a huge sector so the 75km range may appear as a much smaller globe. Apologies if I am misunderstanding you and its not a perspective issue.

see here what I mean, the green circle is larger then the revealed space, but in the other sector is the same

Not sure whats causing that, I think/suspect its likely a scaling problem as in the green circles should adjust to sector size but arent, whereas the amount revealed is.

It might help to figure the issue if we knew which sector each was so we know sector size, and also if those are all standard 30km range satellites, have you tried putting your ship 30km from on in each system and seeing if you line up with the green lines or the edge of the cleared circles?

haha now its reverse, the green circle is smaller in bright promise and ianamus zura IV is like it should be

guess it switches when you spend some time in a sector

Idle question: Are you taking the altitude of the satellite placement into account? The map is a just a 2D plane and so the interaction of the sphere of satellite coverage with that fixed plane will describe different circles (or even none) depending upon the satellite altitude.
