1.30 CTD Vulkan error at game startup (black screen and game stop immediatly)

Hi,

1.30 and the game continue crashing to desktop when launching it. Currently works (really bad) on the intel graphic chipset (hd 520) and doesn't work on nvidia discrete GPU (''Vulkan::CreateMemoryHeaps() Couldn't allocate heap 8"...) . dxdiag / vulkaninfo / dump already shared on your jira...

- Current game version: 1.31b1 (Steam) - french
- no script / mod / or any game modification
- already tried with Nvidia latest drivers (stable AND beta) :: currently reinstalled 417.22
- tried to disable intel graphical chipset with same results
- tried display driver uninstaller to completly clean drivers and make another proper install with same results
- no json file in system32 refering to vulkan
- tried to launch the game windowed instead of fullscreen (to avoid problem cause of my resolution of 3000*2000)
- files in read only mode unchecked (to avoid steam issue on file in read only mode)
- tried on external (non-ssd) disk with same results
- OS reinstalled (Windows 10 - latest update installed)
- tried public_beta (currently on 1.31b1), same results
...

1.3 didn't resolved these CTD. I updated my post with a link to vulkaninfo / dxdiag / crash dump. Thanks in advance to continue working on this issue

Neither of your graphics devices currently show more than 1 GB VRAM and you need a minimum of 3 GB VRAM. Your Nvidia graphics card DxDiag entry looks incomplete. I would do a clean uninstall of its driver and then install the latest correct driver for it. What Nvidia graphics card is it anyway as the DxDiag doesn't say?

The minimum specs from steam doesn't specify a minimum of 3Gb VRAM, only a vulkan compatible card. I've got a Micorosft surface book, the discrete Nvidia GPU has been modified for this device but nvidia use the same controller they designed to Geforce 940M serie.

The minimum game spec stated is a Nvidia GTX 780 or 970 which come with 3GB or 4GB VRAM respectively. The 940M gpu performance is graded inferior to both the minimum spec card gpus and usually comes with 2 GB (yet your system DxDiag shows it with under 1 GB * see below). That is what a very quick Google research throws up although I am no expert as I have an AMD card.

i can play x rebirth (and lot of other game with same requirements) in medium-high graphical level without any problem. Hope i can play X4 someday... it's seems to be the same graphical engine and the optimization doesn't seems to be so bad... I don't expect to run it in 4K with high level of details but CTD at startup is really stange...
