Game crashes for me when I fly a Argon "Drill" ship.

The game has been completely solid for me for 50 hours of play UNTIL I started flying a Argon "Drill" ship. Within a few minutes of flying the Drill the game CTDs for me. It's too bad because I kinda like the ship!

Anyone else had this happen?
