What will support be like until the DLC comes out?

What will support be like until the DLC comes out?
I'm just wondering if anyone has an opinion of what support will be like until the DLC comes out in about a year. I know that ES is a small development team and I'm not expecting an update schedule or anything. I'm just wondering if we should expect patches as they support the game or if they will just roll their patches up into the eventual DLC?

Egosoft will definitely be consistently fixing bugs and patching
