1.0 Bug, Captain won't leave ship's chair

After hiring a captain for my for my starting Elite Vanguard and undocking from the station I quickly went outside in the space suit and entered the ship again. Now my newly hired captain won't leave the cockpit. Using the chair or telling him to get up via the dialogue has no effect. Trying to give him a different job is met with red text "This person cannot reach any other place." Even firing him does not work, he remains in green text, seated in the cockpit. Leaving the ship and entering it via space suit has no effect on it. The pilot has no current mission. Reloading the savegame also does not fix the problem.

Thank you for the save, it really helped.

Good news, bad news. You can get the guy to get up by giving the ship an order e.g. fly somewhere. Bad news is, because it seems that you've told him he's fired multiple times, it'll be hard to stop him actually disappearing. I would suggest not even attempting to talk to him.

We will have a proper solution to this in an upcoming patch.
